Happy Bollywood

I used to watch Tamil movies during weekends on TV when I was much younger. Love it!! Bollywood is the biggest movie industry in the world for Bollywood makes 5000 movies a year leaving Hollywood way behind. I've been watching lots of Bollywood movies (Hindi) lately. Gosh They are so good that I teared! Plot , editing, cinematography and music are superb. They just get better and better.

Here is one that I really like:

Title "Billu Barber ": The actor Irfaan Khan as Billu is a fantastic actor! Script is good!!

This film is basically based on friendship between an ordinary barber who runs his saloon and a superstar.

The story talks of a village barber Billu [Irfaan Khan]. His wife [Lara Dutta] understands him and always stands by him during his tough times, his children forever make fun of him. Billu isn't able to meet his daily demands, not even making up for his children's school fee. But things aren't the same, a film unit visits his village to shoot a movie and with the unit comes superstar Sahir Khan [Shahrukh Khan] Billu's childhood buddy.

Billu's acquaintance during his childhood days with Sahir Khan is known to the entire village. Now the villagers make a U-Turn in their behaviour towards Billu. They treat him graciously. Everyone is ready to favor him in all spheres. But at the same time everyone starts coaxing him to meet the superstar, all for their own benefits. - (From http://www.whereincity.com/movies/bollywood/7820 )

The Evil Aunt (Edited)

I just have to do it even though my nieces already knew San Zi Jing (The Three Character Classic, Trimetric Classic) by heart at the age of 4. Blame the education system here. I just didn't want them to end up like me, neither good in English nor Chinese. Oh well, both of them wanna be High Court Judges when they grow up (Thanks to TVB Drama). So their language power better be not just good but perfect.

This June school holiday, my mom made me coach them time table (Maths), spelling and Chinese. By the way, the elder one is very talented in drawings. She has been getting Aces since Feb. She did well for this semester. Maybe not good enough for all parents and all evil aunts but I thought its good effort since she came in 13th in class. I am proud of her. I told her since the beginning of the school term that I'll be glad as long as she did her best in school and I believe she did.

The younger one is still in her kindergarden so I'm pretty relax on her so that she can have some childhood before she starts her crazy competition in primary school.

For me its a good practice for parenting in future. Prince told me not to push them too hard if not they might end up hating school someday. I am more worried about them having low EQs than anything. Anyway, I got the elder one read a book on history and species of cats since she loves cat. Of course there are many words she didn't understand but I had showed her how to go online to find the right pronunciation of those words and now she even has her very own gmail account. She sent her very first email to me just to say "I LOVE YOU!". Awwwwww..... I melted.

But I'm sorry. I still gotta be that evil aunt for her own good. Right now at this moment she's learning Zhong Yong - Jun Zi Zhi Dao (The Doctrine of the Mean). All I know is its gonna be good for her.......

---------------------------------------------

I decided its best to let my elder niece learn to write San Zi Jin (The Three Character Classic, Trimetric Classic) instead, since she already knew how to recite by heart. Today she learned 12 new chinese characters. Surprisingly the younger one was very interested to learn. Now both of them can write the first 12 characters of San Zi Jing!! Tomorrow I'll teach them the meaning behind those words before we move on to the next 12 characters. I'm enjoying this because I'm learning too!

Life

There will be a time one would come to a point that you are oh so certain that even prayer won't help. That's when you know you've had totally lost faith in what you had used to believe or had been trying to stay in believing.

That's just sad.

June Celebration

In the month of June will be an interesting month that's filled with celebrations. 2 weddings, 3 birthdays celebration, one pub opening of a close friend and return of a good old friend from Nashville the music city.

Here's something I wanna dedicate to my two nieces for their birthday celebration this month.

My dear sweeties,

I was at the Flyer yesterday morning and saw an interesting quote on a gelato booth. "Life may not be the party we hoped for but while we're here we should dance."

So its done, I've danced my heart out all these years and am still dancing. There may be people who disapprove of my dance but I know at the end of the day and at the end of my life, I know I'll be smiling because I lived my life the way I want it.

Never let anyone stop you from doing what you want. Not even me. However both of you need to know the consequences of the wants you want, just like how I always taught you about effect and consequences since the age of 2. Be willing to face and bear all consequences and never cry or blame anyone for the choice you make because you already know what's coming when things didn't work out.

When you've made a choice to run you know well that you may fall and when you fall you should get up all by yourself and start running again. The need to be pity upon is worthless. Only inner strength is admired. Help yourself first before you deserve help from others. You should always appreciate a helping hand and do bear in mind that all help given shall never be taken for granted.

No one in this world owe you anything. Whats given should be deem as bonus. When you start to feel someone owes you something, you are taking life for granted because when you give something, you should never expect any returns. Should there be any returns blessed upon you, accept and appreciate it with a smile using your heart.

I wish both of well and find joy in life always. Happy Birthday my little warriors! Happy running and dancing!

Love,
Your evil Aunt :P

PS: Yes, I'm taking both of you out and you may enjoy Gelato.

Blame it on the hot weather

Its so cool to know my classmates made it to act in CSI Las Vegas(Yes, the American TV show by CBS)as episodic cast and the other made it to Apple's worldwide commercial. I'm so happy for them. It's like one in a million chance to get work like that in Hollywood as the whole street down at 3rd Street Promenade alone are filled with actors. Yep, almost everyone in Los Angeles are somehow in the show business. Its Hollywood after all. I hope the rest of my classmates will make it too.

Talking about classmates, I finally met up with one whom I had lost contact with for donkey years. It was great to see her again. The last I saw her was when we were in primary 6 and only until recently we hooked up again through FACEBOOK. She now lives in Kentucky and came back to Singapore two weeks ago. I wonder what happened to the rest of my primary school classmates.

I missed everybody.......

Here a sexy video for all my classmates. Please focus on the song not the images. LOL Leave me a message if you are one of my long lost class/school mate. Call me old fashion, this video is not/may not be suitable for age under 18.

Usual

Just finished watching a Hong Kong TV drama and was totally blown away by (林保怡) Bowie Lam Bo Yee. I must say he has superb screen presence and acting skill. I've got a 5 stars respect for this actor for he is really great at using his inner power on his craft. Charming work.

I've been having a great time hanging out with friends. The usual. The weather been driving me crazy. I can never function well when surrounded with still air. There has been quite a bit of dramatic happenings among friends but I know everyone will be fine.

It's time to stop pondering over what should be done but time to do what I wanna do.

Childhood Dream (Episode 1)

I learn to ride on the rented bike at the age of 12 at East Coast Park. Like others, it took me a few visits to the park before I got it right. I'm losing my youth day by day. Its now or never. I've been too busy all these years with other dreams that I almost forgotten the joy of cycling on a bicycle. The sense of freedom from the wind that clears my mind and blow all the fears away.

I wonder if they still sell that famous BMX bicycle from the 80s. It was my childhood dream to ride a BMX from home to AMW for a Root Beer Float! LOL Of course I ain't getting myself a BMX. Now I prefer to ride on a BMW and make my way to BMS (Big Mall Shopping). LOL Too bad I can't afford a BMW but I'll be just happy with a simple bicycle to cycle to the mall!!

My point is, I am getting my very own bicycle next week!! Don't worry mama, I'll be careful and will not fall. I promise you I will only cycle in the park but never in the dark.

Random Rain

Its all in the mind although imploding inside. Still waiting for the time when the dance feels right. The wind maybe cold, but only the skin will know. Hidden rain drips by droplets maybe just right for the eyes that couldn't lie.
