From Beijing to Berlin

Read from the Chinese papers that one ABC and his friend (videographer) hitch rides all the way from Beijing to Berlin to visit his girlfriend. After 3 months passing 13 countries they finally arrived in Berlin. The first thing the girlfriend said to the ABC was, " Next time when you come to visit me, you can take the plane..." LOL

I'm laughing now because if my prince did the same I wouldn't know to cry or to laugh. To cry, because his journey took 3 months, this means I have to wait for 3 months! But then, this can be quite romantic for a guy to do that. To laugh because, if he would just pay for the plane ticket, he would be here with me in a day or two, saves all time and trouble. So, if you are the girlfriend, how would you respond to that ?

For me, if I knew my prince would be doing that, I would tell him to fly in , save the time and tour the whole Europe with me. Now, this is romantic, at least to me. By the way we don't need a videographer....

I guess the best real life romantic story I've heard is about this Australian white male photojournalist who scuba dives under the Mekong to rescue his lover from communist ruled Laos in 1977. Now that is truly deadly romantic....

LOL I'll be just as happy if Prince would kill roaches for me. CHEERS!

I NEED SHOES!!

I know.... For those who knew me personally, would kill me for saying this because once upon a time I owned 100 over pairs of shoes. (As I said, once upon a time. )But I really do need new shoes! I haven't bought any for the last nine months AT LEAST! Hey, that's record breaking for me! I have only left about about 40 pairs and they are mainly dress shoes. I can't wear them as I don't have any thing to match.

I haven't found my "shoe of the year" since 2008. Now to me this is upsetting and totally unforgivable. Yeah, whats that big deal with shoes, you may ask. It is big deal! We are born to walk with our two feet. It ain't easy to walk to the end of life. Those uphills, downhills, uneven roads and harsh terrain ....... The only thing that protect our skin is shoe. I wanna wear different shoes for different times. Spice up with a little style on my feet helps me to walk in style and feel good. Positive outlook attracts positive outcome. Just like how some people like to wear different watches everyday.

Now the question is, WHERE"S THE SALE?? ARRGH! GOSH !!! I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR FOR CHINESE NEW YEAR!

By the way I had started painting the house. Today I finished with the main door. Guess my next paint job for the house shall resume on Monday. Its the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are meant to have fun.

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!

Crazy Beginings

Have you started your spring cleaning for Chinese New Year yet? How's 2010 been treating you so far? Me? Oh yes, you came here to my blog to hear me. Yeah, so I should update you about me now. LOL But yes, let me know you are well too. :)

Tomorrow I shall start painting the house. My room is still in a mess as usual. Okay, I'll do something about it. I SHALL TRY HARDER! LOL

For the whole week, dramas dramas dramas. But the dark cloud has started to clear. Thank heaven for that! Positive energy attracts positive outcome! :) Good news is, I'll be doing a promo for my sitcom Police and Thief Season 6 next week. I don't know the details yet but I feel really excited. Gosh, imagine we finished the shoot last year Feb. Broadcast date delayed over and over again. Well, now we are all set to go on 23rd Feb 2010. YAY!

The bad part is I don't think I'll get to watch..... Mom would want to watch her CH8 drama. Not that she wouldn't support me but its hard to keep up with the story when you need to skip an episode. Yes, my mom would rush home from anywhere just to watch TV. LOL Now you can kind of understand why I am an actress. Yeah I'm an attention seeker! LOL Nah.... Kidding! Mom will always watch me on TV no matter what. She'll pretend she's not interested but she'll start calling her friends and relatives whenever I'm on. She'll whisper on the phone to get them watch me. That's what makes everything I went through during shoot worthwhile. Those sleepless nights, over nights, those mad rush in the morning at 5am and the need to remember 10 over scenes of lines per night.

Oh yes, I've got back to my workout and I'm feeling great! 3 hours of workout per week is not that hard after all. Slowly I shall increase it to 5hours. I've decided to do so because I missed wearing my body hugging dresses and singlets. Okay besides that, health reasons mainly. I even cut down on my caffeine intake since I'm taking a break from work. But not for very long as I need to get back to my project next week.

Hope you are well. Yes I'm shaken, down and out because I still haven't got my New Year clothes yet. LOL Looking at the bright side, I can save money. :)

Vision

I had a vision about a week ago on Friday 13th. Nope, noting scary but was very real. I was on set doing at a "haunted house" scene, yep tell me about it, shooting zombie story on Friday 13th night till next day 3am. It was very fun actually!! I was chilling and was in position waiting for the lights and camera to be shifted before the camera roll. I saw it. I saw myself playing computer games and "Facebook-ing".

The vision came true on 15th Feb. I have been doing almost nothing but spending time on my laptop till this moment, today 20th Feb. (Of course I did spend time with my nieces and attended two birthdays BBQ. ) LOL I guess that's because I've been working non stop since 7th Jan. And haven't had much ME time since Dec 2008. What happen to everything in my "to do" list?

Gotta get back to life. Tomorrow will be my last day of shoot in this project which starts at 0700am. I'm well rested. :)

Rest

I get to take a 3 days break from work. I'm still coughing but I'm feeling much better. Yep I'm only gonna get better because all scenes that were needed to be shot in the freezing studio were all completed. Finally from today, we have started to move outdoor for shoot. It was nice at the beginning, away from the super air condition in the studio but it was no joke to shoot under the unforgiving sun either. With melted makeup on my face and sticky sweat on my body.... eeeeek.

Now I'm starting to miss the studio.

Comedy comes from suffering

VO stands for voice over. Looks like that's what I'll have to do to save all my scenes after the whole shoot because after dinner break today at the studio, I lost my voice.

The bill for my medical fees at Thomson Medical Center was $119.70 (after 10% discount for DBS/HSBC card holders). My antibiotics alone cost $49.2 for 6 tablets to be taken over 3 days. I knew I just have to see the doctor right after work at 10pm. I told the doctor that I urgently need my voice back. There's no way for me to take MC. So I requested him to give me the best and strongest medicine possible to speed up my recovery.

Today's shoot was fun during the first part until I lost my voice after dinner. I tried to "conserve" my voice till my last scene by whispering when I need to communicate. I was kind of "lucky" that my two other scenes needed only my facial expression. Still, I couldn't make the words out of my vocal chord when I was speaking my lines. ARRGH!! I felt so lousy that I couldn't even look into the eyes of my EP/Director. It wasn't even a difficult scene to begin with and I had to screw it up.

I will do better tomorrow.

Real Life Comedy

For 3 days in a row this is just how clumsy I've had become.

Day 1
Someone stepped on my toes in the train.

Day 2
A)I bang my head on the glass door as I walk out of a shop.
B)Someone stepped on my toes again in the train.

Day 3
A)I almost fell off the stairs.
B)I fell out of the dressing room into the other dressing room next door when I was trying to take off my jeans to try on a dress....... LOL

This is sooooooooo funny! I prefer to laugh it off than to sulk over it.

I'm having fun!

Finally finished my two days shoot today. A bit tired but happy. I'm happy not just because of money but I'm happy because I'm working. Working means I get to practise my craft as a actor. The crews and director are friendly and easy going. They took great care of me. Matter of fact is, this has been a fun and enjoyable shoot. Prince and I had dinner tonight at Raffles City with a very good and veteran actor whom I call him PaPa "P". Food was good and we even had a bottle of sake.

About 4days ago my blanket flew away after I hung it to dry on the pole/teck ko. I had used three clips to secure it to the pole but apparently it didn't work. I was just relaxing in my room when my mom came running to my door to inform me about my missing blanket. The pole was still there but the blanket went missing. Thank goodness the pole was still there because I live on a very very high floor. I decided to conduct a mini "CSI" while ironically I was wearing my CSI t-shirt I bought from Las Vegas. I looked outside the window at my laundry area but I didn't see anything below my apartment. I figured out it must be the "work" of the strong wind as it had been very unusually windy lately. I then decided to go downstairs with my two lovely little "CSI Assistants" whom both process the IQ of a 4-5 year old kid. ( Okay, both my lovely nieces are truly 4 and 5 years old. )

ANYWAY.............

After I got downstairs, my blanket was still no where to be found. I thought to myself it must have flew its way to Johor?! LOL Just as I turn my back to head back home, I SAW IT.
My blanket was nicely hanging on top of a tall tree. So how tall are we talking about here? Picture this, it took me a 4 step ladder and two poles/teck Ko that were attached together to extend the length to the maximum and a good 15minutes to "rescue" my blanket from the tree top. As a friend mine put it jokingly, GONE WITH THE WIND! I actually thought this incident was funny and also heart warming as both of my nieces, my dad and I worked together as a team on this "rescue mission".

Comedy Of Errors

"If It Ain't Broken, Don't Fix It."

This is whats happening to my blog now because I tried to change the blog skin.
So meanwhile please kindly bear with the layouts and stuffs while I'm on my way out to get myself a copy of "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Blogskin" .

Additional Scene (2hours later): Guess I kind of like the way my blog looks for now. I mean you should have seen how I freak out just now after uploading a new skin and got everything messed up and missing. Oh well, at least I kind of fix it back to what it look like before.

Think Twice

Does anyone ever have to call the AA in twice in the middle of the night just to jump start the car engine?

We did.

0114am
Prince's car Tobey died on us at Orchard Road after we picked up our friend whom we had made plans to go for tea together somewhere out of town. We had no choice but to call the AA in. Luckily we didn't have to wait for long. The nice "uncle" who drove a van from AA recharged the car battery and advised us to replace the battery the next day. He also said it should be able to last us for a night. So off we drove our way to our usual kopi place and it was then I randomly decided to name the car Tobey.

Three over hours later at 0430am
When Prince was about to send our friend and me back home. Tobey died on us for the second time. Maybe the car didn't like its new name...

At 0500am, here comes my dramatic moment
When the AA tow truck arrived, (yep this time is a tow track not van) I was thinking to myself, if a tow truck were to tow a vehicle and passes through the ERP, does this mean the same vehicle that is being towed has also got to pay ERP?

Is there any difference between the pic above and below? So its one or two vehicle? Chicken & Egg question! LOL

You can't blame me for asking this question at 0500am after being wasted from 3 big cups of tea. I mean, to me technically it's only one vehicle passing through the ERP gantry. Think about the container truck, you'll get what I mean. If one can attach the container to the truck and still count it as one vehicle, how about the tow truck? Yes, on the surface it's two vehicles passing through the gantry but the one behind has no driver and not moving on its own which is the same case as the container.

Yeah I know... Our friend rolled her eyes on me after I asked her the same question. The last time I check, I wasn't blonde. Maybe I should get myself a new mirror, a driver's license and some sleep.

Additional Scene: I can't believe I am back to add pics to this entry. I should just GET OVER IT! LOL My contradictions........
